The School of Education has a long history of offering well-respected master’s, doctoral, and credential programs to educators in the Riverside area and throughout the Seventh-day Adventist educational community. The School of Education has granted:
- 1,720 Master of Arts degrees since 1968
- 426 Specialist in Education degrees since 1976
- 215 Doctor of Education degrees since 1982
The graduate programs at the School of Education at La Sierra University will give you the competitive edge you need. The reputation of the School of Education rests on effective teaching and nurturing relationships. Our faculty delivers both, as mentors and as teaching scholars.
Curricula are offered for the degrees: Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Arts, Specialist in Education, and Doctor of Education. Postbaccalaureate (or “fifth-year”) credential programs and a certificate program are also available. The credential programs are structured to fulfill requirements for teaching and service credentials prescribed by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists Department of Education and/or the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
