Lovelyn J. Razzouk, B.Mus.

Coordinator for Outreach and Engagement

Lovelyn graduated from La Sierra University in 2006 with a B.Mus. in Music Education. She has worked in the education system for the last five years ranging from elementary to college level. She enjoys working with 5th & 6th grade band programs.

The Outreach and Engagement position was created to help funnel information and interest about student and faculty availability to perform all under one area. Lovelyn Razzouk was invited to take up the role as Coordinator for this new office in May of 2011.

Since the new office was established, Lovelyn Razzouk has utilized this opportunity to organize off-campus performances, establish a system for students to track performance hours, utilize social media to enhance awareness of the Department of Music, and move forward with much needed updates with both web and print materials.

The Department of Music recorded 852 hours of both ensemble and individual/small group performances during the 2011-2012 Academic Year. The concert season and outreach performances included 118 performances. Over 40 of these performances/visits were off-campus including churches, academies, and social/community events. And over 30 of these performances were in collaboration with University and La Sierra University Church activities and events.

The department's usage of social media outlets and  frequent information updates on the website (including streaming free concerts), accompanied by  ensemble and individual/small group outreach, has increased traffic on the web pages and concert attendance.
