Sibyl Beaulieu, MSW, CMSW
Assistant Professor, Field Placement Coordinator. Sibyl earned her BSW from Oakwood College in 1991 and a MSW from Loma Linda University in 1995. She was part of the first graduating class for that program. She has a dual practice focus of clinical social work and child welfare.
Sibyl’s practice experience spans several different areas. She has practiced in child welfare with San Bernardino County Department of Children’s Services, CPS Division. She has been on the faculty of several universities, engaging in macro practice as a consultant and trainer for both the State of Alabama and the State of Tennessee. These activities were through Auburn University and Southern Adventist University, respectively. Sibyl has also been an adjunct instructor for Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, teaching macro practice with governments and organizations. She has done clinical work as a gero-psychiatric therapist with Jackson County Mental Health in Scottsboro, Alabama. She also served as a program manager with Family Service Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Sibyl is an experienced parenting and visitation Mediation Specialist and a Master Trainer of PATH, the federally approved curriculum for certifying foster parents.
Sibyl is a lover of jazz music and has been singing since the age of 5. She collects antique furniture, enjoys home decorating, plays church league softball every summer and is a cat lover. Sibyl has sung with Another Peace choir for 21 years, who had their origins here on La Sierra’s campus.
