To strengthen the operations of community-serving individuals and organizations, the Center for Philanthropy has focused program development in the following three areas:
The Center for Philanthropy offers complimentary seminars for nonprofit organizations in the Inland Empire. The Center director meets with staff and board members of the organization to review their fundraising strategies and give instruction on donor cultivation. He can suggest techniques to strengthen and expand advisory boards, provide direction in grant development and campaign planning, and suggest steps to create an ongoing philanthropic emphasis that can lead to success. These seminars are known as the Milton Murray Philanthropic Seminars, in honor of a beloved Seventh-day Adventist leader who is a respected national champion in the field of philanthropy.
If your organization is interested in further exploring this service, please contact Charm Tuazon, Assistant to the Center Director.
The Certificate Program of Advancement Professionals is a six-week series for nonprofit executives and development professionals. In weekly ninety-minute sessions participants learn general fundraising techniques, how to cultivate donors and volunteers, the importance of developing high-profile advisory boards, what it takes to conduct special campaigns, and how to write grants and fundraising plans that work. After completing the program, each participant will receive a Center for Philanthropy certificate.
