Gustavo Gregorutti, PhD, is an Associate Professor of the School of Education at the University of Montemorelos. He has served as an Adventist educator for fourteen years, including serving as a principal and academic director. Edwin I. Hernández, PhD, is a Senior Program Officer at the DeVos Family Foundations. He co-leads a placed-based philanthropic initiative, funded by the Douglas and Maria DeVos Foundation, called Believe2Become (B2B). The purpose of B2B is to eliminate the achievement gap for children living in four contiguous under-resourced urban neighborhoods in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He oversees the research evaluation, data systems, communications and faith-based components of B2B. He also serves as a research fellow with the Center for the Study of Latino Religion at the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
