Principal Research Interests

My research interests are early American literature, nineteenth-century American literature, Native American literature, Chicana/o literature, and, more broadly, religion and literature. I am currently working on my dissertation which is on Poland in the nineteenth-century American literary imagination. For this project, I am working with quite a bit of archival material from nineteenth-century periodicals and newspapers.
