Appointments and Contact Info

To make a medical/behavioral health appointment, you can stop by the Student Wellness Services office in the convenience center (11486 Pierce Street, Suite #A), call us at 951-785-2200, or email us at with your preferred contact number.

Counseling services are available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday. If you need to contact your mental health provider, please contact them directly via your patient portal at  https://lasierraportal.pointnclick.com/. You can also leave a confidential voicemail message anytime, and they will return your call as soon as possible.

In the event of an urgent situation during the evening or on weekends, contact Campus Security at 951-785-2222 or your Residence Hall Dean on duty.

If you have a medical emergency, please call 911, or contact Campus Security at 951-785-2222. If you have a mental health emergency, please call 800.686.help (4357) or 988.

Requirements for ALL New Students

La Sierra University requires that ALL INCOMING STUDENTS intending to take 8 or more units (freshman, transfer and post-graduate) must be compliant with Student Wellness Services pre-entrance requirements, BEFORE registration. Visit our Pre-Entrance Requirements and Vaccine Policy page for more infomation and to complete the required forms digitally.  If you have any questions, please call our department at (951) 785-2200 during regular business hours and someone will be happy to assist you.

Counseling Services' No-Show Policy

Due to our waitlist and high demand for services, our no-show/late-cancellation policy is as follows: If you would like to cancel or reschedule your counseling appointment for any reason, you need to let Student Wellness Services know at least 24 hours before your appointment.   If we do not hear from you, we interpret that to mean you are choosing to disengage from counseling at this time. As such, you will be removed from the therapist's caseload. If/when you are ready to re-engage in therapy, please give us a call and we will once again place you on our waitlist.
