BARBARA FAVORITO
Dr. Favorito earned a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Instrumental Conducting with highest distinction from the University of Miami, a Master of Music in Conducting with highest distinction from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska. She studied and worked with some of music’s most distinguished conductors, including Robert Shaw, Sir David Willcocks, Hilmuth Rilling and Erich Leinsdorf.
She is currently the Associate Provost for General Education and Academic Support.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Favorito has conducted wind ensembles, bands, orchestras and choirs in thirty-three states, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Her style and technique as a conductor and music educator have merited invitations as a guest conductor and clinicians in music festivals, clinics, and conducting symposiums across the United States.
In January, 2008 Dr. Favorito was the clinician and conductor for the Illinois Conference Music Festival held at Hinsdale Adventist Academy. An alumna of Campion Academy, she enjoyed guest conducting the Campion Academy Band during the 2008 Alumni Weekend in October. She was the conductor clinician for the Southern California Junior High Band Clinic in the spring of 2009.
She remains active as a guest conductor and clinician.
