Health and Exercise Science Internship Program
Launched in the Fall of 2011, the Health and Exercise Science Internship Program was developed to aid department majors in obtaining practical experience in a variety of professional areas related to the fields of Health and Exercise Science. Through internship, students will be able to further develop current knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) as well as develop new sets of KSA's, and learn and develop leadership and supervisory skills.
- The program is available to Health and Exercise Science students only with a minim GPA of 2.3 in non-major classes and a 3.0 GPA in major course work beginning in the junior year. Internships will be completed during senior year.
- Interns will be offered the opportunity to increase knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's), develop professional contacs for future job references and networking, receive feedback on job performance, and gain real-world work experience.
- Interested students must apply and be accepted for internship opportunities. Interest in an internship should be discussed with an advisor in the sophomore year, however current (fall 2010) juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to apply.
