Dr. Evans is a licensed psychologist (PSY 21922) with a Ph.D. and M.A. from Loma Linda University, as well as a B.A. in Psychology from La Sierra University.  Dr. Evans completed his internship at Patton State Hospital with a concentration in neuropsychology.  Following his internship year, he was hired as a staff psychologist and eventually achieved the rank of Senior Psychologist Supervisor and Positive Behavior Support Consultant, before coming to LSU.  Also, Dr. Evans has provided a variety of forensic psychological services including violence risk assessment, sex offender recidivism, risk assesment and treatment, as well as competency to stand trial, criminal insanity, and mentally disordered offender (MDO) evaluations.  His reserach interests include violence and the mentally ill, psychopathy and self-deception.  His class offerings include:  General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychopathy, and Senior Field Experience.
