
Individual & Couples Counseling
The counseling center offers short-term individual and couples counseling for a variety of concerns that come up during a student’s academic journey. Personal, emotional, and relational issues may include:
- stress
- depression
- loneliness
- difficulties in studying
- relationship and family conflicts
- dealing with addictions
- eating concerns
- identity
- grief and loss
- sexual assault
- or simply self improvement.
Talking with a counselor in a confidential, interactive and accepting environment often helps improve coping skills, understanding, problem resolution, and/or help in moving toward a more meaningful and satisfying life.
At the time of your first appointment, you will be asked to complete some preliminary paperwork and then asked to describe your concerns and what you hope to gain from counseling. This first meeting often provides an opportunity for your counselor and you to decide on how best to address your concerns.
