UPDATE OF THE PHS 2590 and PHS 398 INSTRUCTIONS

Applicants are urged to discard previous versions of the PHS 398 and PHS 2590 instructions and use the current versions to ensure they have the most accurate information.

Notable Changes Made to PHS 2590 (Revised 05/2001):

June 28, 2002 Changes:

PHS 2590 instructions have been updated to clarify instructions for research involving human subjects and reporting formats for inclusion of women and minorities in non-competing reports. The updates are marked in purple to make them more easily identifiable.

PHS 398 instructions have been updated to clarify instructions for research involving human subjects and for "Other Support" on Research Career Awards. The updates are marked in purple to make them more easily identifiable. The PHS 398 Form, Replacement of RCA Substitute Format Page 3, has been updated to clarify placement of Other Support.
