Lewes Mowery, clarinet
Lewes Mowery is a fifth year student at La Sierra University studying Clarinet Performance and Music Technology. He studied clarinet for 8 years with Kirk Udvardi at Loma Linda Academy. During his time in Loma Linda’s Symphonic Band he played in cathedrals and concert halls across Europe on two international band tours. He now studies with Dr. William Wellwood at La Sierra University. Lewes performs with the university wind ensemble, orchestra, and big band. He also performed with the university woodwind quintet for two years. During his time at La Sierra the wind ensemble played for the College Band Directors National Association Western Division conference in 2010. He also played first clarinet for the La Sierra Orchestra in a performance at Disney Concert Hall. He currently teaches clarinet lessons to young students at Loma Linda Academy and has given master classes to high school students. Following graduation Lewes plans to pursue further education and a career in music technology, while continuing to play clarinet.
