La Sierra University Opera Theatre presents “Opera Scenes,” Sat., May 2

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – ( www.lasierra.edu ) La Sierra University Opera Theatre presents “Opera Scenes,” Sat., May 2, 8 p.m., at Hole Memorial Auditorium. Always a favorite, this full stage and costumed production with piano accompaniment features a variety of beloved opera scenes including Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (depicted at right), Verdi’s La Traviata and Bizet’s The Pearl Fisher. This event is free!

La Sierra University Opera Theatre’s “Opera Scenes” will also include Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte, Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann and Delibes’s Lakmé.. To enhance your theatrical experience, translations will be projected onto a screen. La Sierra’s Director of Vocal Studies Raejin Lee serves as opera director while La Sierra University Symphony Orchestra Conductor Daniel Cummings is music director and pianist.
