Interdisciplinary improv mayhem to take the Matheson stage

LSUDrama kicks off the new season with an evening of improv mayhem featuring a brand new team of players. "Theater Sports: Whose Dangling Modifier is it Anyway?" will feature students from a multitude of academic disciplines, giving it their all on stage. The team includes nine students whose successful auditions garnered them each $1,000 performance scholarships.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – ( www.lasierra.edu )LSUDrama kicks off the new season with an evening of improv mayhem featuring a brand new team of players. “Theater Sports: Whose Dangling Modifier is it Anyway?” is an unplanned evening of who knows what will happen next? High adventure, true love, laughter, tears, treachery, nobility, and . . . um . . . more dangling modifiers derived from exciting past participles?

With special guests that include a spear-carrying Roman Centurion--you won’t want to miss this special one-night only event.

Nine students who successfully auditioned for the LSUImprov team will each earn a $1,000 performance scholarship this year. Led by Kyle Dever the team has five new members including freshman Caitlin Miller, a world language major; Cheyenne Peevy, a biomedical science major; Darren Thomas, a drama minor who is undecided about his major; Victoria Magana who is an exercise science major and pre-physical therapy; and senior English major & drama minor, Patrick Garrett York.

Other team members will be familiar faces to audiences and include religion majors, Kyle Dever and J. Murdock; Angela Pineda who is a drama minor; Beverly Maravilla and Rebecca Waring-Crane, a contract teacher for the English Department.
