Worship & Community
Worship brings our community together through silence, discussion, music, prayer and inspirational study from God’s word. We worship so that we may learn and grow in our spiritual lives as individuals and as a community. We set aside Thursday mornings at 11, giving every individual the opportunity to experience and appreciate various worship styles and traditions to deepen their faith.
This is a time in which the entire student and faculty body can congregate and worship as a whole. As we praise God through music and distinguished speakers bring us their inspired message, we are blessed. This service is held in the La Sierra University Church, across the street from La Sierra University campus.

Students have the freedom to worship in various small groups led by peers, faculty and staff, in locations throughout campus. We believe that this smaller group dynamic enhances the worship experience by creating intentional and intimate relationships within the La Sierra community.
Assembly is held on three selected Tuesdays at 11a each academic quarter. Assembly location is either in the La Sierra University Church or at a students’ respective department/school (see schedule for details). We reflect together, during these times, on the happenings around us and the things that shape our community.
