The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 requires that all transcript requests be in writing, signed and dated by the person to whom the records belong.

  1. Fill out Transcript Request form.
  2. Submit paperwork to the Records Office via E-Mail, Fax, or Mail.
  3. Make payment
  4. Contact 951-785-2420 for status updates
  5. You may choose to review your unofficial Online Transcript.

Transfer Process New Transfer Student Steps

1 - ENROLLMENT SERVICES

Meet with an Enrollment Services counselor to discuss admission procedures, financial aid estimates, and available academic programs. Call (951) 785-2000, e-mail info@lasierra.edu, or visit them online at lasierra.edu/enrollment.

2 - APPLICATION & OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

Apply online at lasierra.edu/apply, and request that your official transcripts be MAILED directly to:

  • La Sierra University
  • Attn: Office of Admissions
  • 4500 Riverwalk Parkway, Riverside, CA 92515

3 - LA SIERRA UNIVERSITY ACCEPTANCE

Receive e-mail and/or formal letter of acceptance from the Office of Admissions.

4 - OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION

Receive confirmation that your official transcripts have been evaluated for La Sierra University course equivalency from Maritza Aoyagi, Records Specialist, maoyagi@lasierra.edu. To facilitate accurate academic advising and course registration, transcripts must first be evaluated.

5 - FINANCIAL CLEARANCE

Send your FAFSA to La Sierra University (school code: 001215); then make an appointment with a financial aid counselor by calling (951) 785-2175 or e-mailing sfs@lasierra.edu. Pay at least one-third (1/3) of your quarter’s balance by the following dates: September 15 for Fall Quarter, December 15 for Winter Quarter, and March 15 for Spring Quarter.

6 - YOUR SELF-SERVICE ACCOUNT

Access Self-Service at lasierra.edu/selfservice. Your USER ID is your six-digit student ID number. Your PASSWORD (PIN) is your 6-digit birthday in MMDDYY format. For example: May 18, 1990 becomes 051890. For directions, visit lasierra.edu/transferstudent

7 - REGISTRATION HOLDS

Holds prevent registration. View holds in your Self-Service account at lasierra.edu/selfservice. From the Main Menu, go to Students > Student Records > View Holds. To request information about a hold, contact the 4-digit campus extension beside each hold. If calling off-campus, add “(951) 785” to the extension: (951) 785-####.

8 - PLACEMENT TESTING

Students without a passing grade of “C” or above in a college-level English and/or Math may need placement exam(s). Contact the Learning Support & Testing Center at (951) 785-2896 or testing@lasierra.edu. Each test costs $20. For more information, visit lasierra.edu/lstc.

9 - ACADEMIC ADVISING & REGISTRATION PIN (ALTERNATE PIN)

After transcript evaluation, contact the Center for Student Academic Success (C-SAS) at (951) 785-2452 or advising@lasierra.edu to schedule an appointment where you will select courses and receive your Registration PIN.

10 - CLASS REGISTRATION

Students who have been advised and given their Registration PIN may register for classes by logging into Self-Service at lasierra.edu/selfservice. For registration instructions, visit lasierra.edu/transferstudent.

11 - ATTEND LA SIERRA UNIVERSITY ORIENTATION

Circle: FALL | WINTER | SPRING | SUMMER
Attend orientation to learn university policies, academic requirements, and campus resources important for a successful transition to La Sierra. To register, visit lasierra.edu/newstudents.

12 - TEXTBOOKS

Purchase books at lasierra.edu/bookstore or the campus bookstore on the bottom level of Dining Commons (DC).

13 - ADDITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS

  • LA SIERRA UNIVERSITY ID CARD Student Life in Administration Building (AD) Room 202. Photo ID and proof of enrollment required.
  • PARKING PERMIT Visit lasierra.edu/parking for directions on requesting a parking permit online. La Sierra ID card required.
