Language Placement Test for ESL Students only

International students that were accepted to our English as a Second Language Program (ESL) are not required to present TOEFL or IELTS scores prior to acceptance. Students will take an English Placement Test during International Student’s Orientation (in the Fall Quarter) or once they arrive to La Sierra University Campus (Winter and Spring Quarters). Students may take the TOEFL or the Michigan Test , contact the testing center for availability.
The ESL program offers 5 main levels of instruction (Basic, Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expanded) and the score on the placement test will be used by the ESL advisor to place the students accordingly.
