REMINDER: Saliva Testing Hours & Location

Good Morning! Here is some important information for those of you that will be doing the surveillance Covid testing each week. 

Who: Anyone who is partially vaccinated or unvaccinated due to an approved exemption will have to test two times per week.  Testing is also open to individuals regardless of vaccination status as resources allow.Where: Former campus bookstore (see map)

When: Monday thru Thursday.  There are 2 collection times per day.  

  • 1st collection time: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
  • 2nd collection time: 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

How Often:  2x per week.  Testing must be on non-consecutive days (i.e. mon & wed, tues & thurs, mon & thurs).  Please schedule accordingly.

Please note: The collection times will end promptly at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.  There will be no accommodations made for persons who miss the testing event or who are late.

Results will be kept secure and confidential.  An individual will only be notified if their result is positive.  If you do not receive a call you may safely assume your test result is negative.  If you do receive a positive result, you will be required to quarantine immediately and do a confirmatory PCR test either at SWS or a testing facility of your choosing.  

If an individual who is required to test 2x per week chooses not to, they will be subject to disciplinary action by the Covid Compliance Office.

Once an individual is fully vaccinated (2 weeks following the second shot of Pfizer or Moderna or 2 weeks following the 1 shot of J & J) they must submit their vaccination record to SWS (https://lasierra.edu/covid-19/campus-operations/) and may discontinue weekly testing.
