GALLERY INSTALLATION
In collaboration with the gallery director, student gallery assistants gain professional experience interacting with professional artists installing a wide range of two dimensional and three dimensional artwork. In addition to assisting with all gallery installations, de-installations, exhibition promotion, and artist receptions student gallery assistants learn how to paint, sand, varnish, measure, use ladders, light exhibitions, load and unload u-hauls, visit artist studios, apply vinyl lettering, design wall labels, update the gallery instagram account, cut with the table saw and chop saw, and a million other things...all to make the presentation of each exhibition as professional and seamless as possible.
