Your Next Steps
- First, locate your username in your application status portal.
If you are not able to find it, your username is the combination of:
First letter of your first name
+ First 3 letters of your last name
+ Last three digits of your La Sierra University ID number.
Example: jdoe987 - Navigate to https://portal.lasierra.edu. Below the login form, click on Reset Password and enter your username and create a password.

- Follow instructions on adding the DUO app to your phone and connecting it to your student account: https://lasierra.edu/information-technology/mfa-duo/first-time-setup/
Step 1: Submit your FAFSA at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to be eligible to receive federal grants and loans as well as institutional aid.
Step 2: Schedule an appointment with your enrollment counselor. Their contact information can be found on your application status portal. If you are unable to locate it call us at 951-785-2000 and ask to schedule an appointment with your enrollment counselor.
To meet with the right advisor, update your program before registration by completing a change of major. The change of major can be found on your application status page. If you have any issues, contact admissions@lasierra.edu.
You will need to take the math placement exam (ALEKS) BEFORE REGISTERING FOR CLASSES if you have not completed one of the following:
- SAT score of 580 or higher
- ACT score of 23 or higher
- AP Math score of 3 or higher
- IB Higher level math score of 4 or higher
- Passed a college level math course with a C or higher
Depending on your major, you may need to place into a higher math and may still want to take the placement exam. To do so please follow the instructions on this page: https://lasierra.edu/testing-center/math-placement/. This exam can be taken at home.

Submit your final official transcripts with graduation dates to admissionstranscript@lasierra.edu . Official transcripts must be sent directly from the school or transcript service. Any transcript with an IP grade is not considered final.
If you took college courses, AP exams or IB exams and want credit, we will you to send official transcripts and scores to us as well.

If you are living on campus, please complete and submit an application and your $150 dorm deposit. Instructions can be found at https://lasierra.edu/residential-life/residence-application/
If you are looking for off-campus or non-dorm university housing you must meet specific criteria, contact residential life for details at reslife@lasierra.edu

Incoming athletes must get a physical exam and complete the ATS Form and Insurance Packet.
If you need a physical, schedule your appointment through PnCweb.lasierra.edu or call 951-785-2200.
You can login and make an appointment here: https://lasierra.edu/security/id-cards/. Visit our security office at the Convenience Center (suite FF) on Pierce (next to the La Loma Market, to take your ID photo and receive your ID card). This will allow you to access campus gates and buildings.
