Sustainability Studies Program
The Sustainability Studies Program at La Sierra University and the Judith A. Bassett Canid Education and Conservation Center present a Coyote Avoidance Training Event: Learn how to coexist safely with urban coyotes, including successful hazing techniques and awareness strategies. Event will take place on Monday, May 12 at 4:00 P.M. at Clough Park in La Sierra University. Come meet Lena, a rescued fox. Clough Park is behind Fritz Guy Library and off Middle Campus Drive near the new campus Geodesic Dome. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
Grant Information
Established in October 2023. Five-year, $3 million grant.
Goals
- Develop a high-need Sustainability Science Program with three new degree pathways
- Expand focus on student support
- Strengthen college capacity for improved equity outcomes
Objectives
- Enroll students in Sustainability Studies Programs
- Increase student retention
- Increase graduation rates
- Develop and grow a work-based learning program
