The Practicum in Health Science is designed to provide Health Science majors that have already taken at least 40 units of Health Science coursework, orientation to field experience in public health. Senior Practicum in Health Science, HLSC 475, focuses on application and development of relevant health promotion knowledge and skills through internships and clerkships. Students, guided by an instructor, select and actively participate in various types of activities with established health services programs. A journal and culminating report are required. Arrangements for this class are to begin in the junior year.
