The office of International Students Services is looking forward to meeting you! International Student Orientation is designed to support the success and wellness of international students at La Sierra University. During this mandatory orientation, we will talk about:

Being part of the International Family here at La Sierra University

Our immigration orientations are geared toward students that hold an F-1 visa and/or have received an I-20 form from our office. Other visa holders are welcome to join our orientation but are not required to attend. F-1 students are required to attend our immigration orientation, failure to do so will result in a reasonable fee.

When is International Orientation?

How do I register for International Orientation?

Simply click HERE or go to www.lasierra.edu/oiss and click on the International "Immigration" Orientation button.

How much does International Orientation cost?

NO COST, it's FREE. However, failure to attend the full orientation will result in a $75 fine.

Where do I go when I arrive on campus?

If you enter the Campus during normal business hours 8-5pm, please check-in with the International Office located in the Administration Building room 206.

If you are a male student, please report directly to Sierra Towers. If you are a female student age 21 and under, please report to Angwin Hall. If you are a female student age 22 and higher, please report to Calkins Hall.

Where can my parents live if they decide to come with me to the United States?

We are always excited to meet your family. Riverside has many hotels near the school. Please review hotels listed by distance from La Sierra Universty.

When can I move in to the dorm?

For Fall, Winter, Spring, & Summer quarter(s), you are allowed to move in 2 or 3 days before international orientation. Please visit La Sierra Residential Life for more information and to complete Housing Application.

Can I bring my significant other, family member, or dependent to orientation?

You are welcome to invite your family. Please let prei20@lasierra.edu or oiss@lasierra.edu know how many of your family will attend orientation. Please note that the orientation is directly relevant to you and your experience here at La Sierra university.
