Music Outcomes & Career Options

This major is a liberal arts major for general education with an emphasis in music. It provides a basis for further degrees, i.e. musicology. Teaching is also a possibility with this major. Additional coursework and/or work experience may be required for specific music occupations. See below for more information. 

Educational Qualifications

In addition to a B.A. degree, advanced study is needed in specializing areas. Teaching credentials are required for teaching music in a school system.
