The Annual Fund is the university's yearly program designed to attract tax-deductible contributions from alumni and friends of La Sierra. Through the Fund, the university supports students through scholarships as well as academic and student life programs.
Annual Fund resources meet vital operational needs and help reduce educational costs for our students. For instance, your gifts may be used to provide scholarship assistance, upgrade campus-wide computing systems, or fund much-needed building renovations. All alumni and friends are encouraged to support the university every year through the La Sierra Annual Fund. Your contribution will enable current students to enjoy the gift of a La Sierra University education.

How your dollar is distributed
- 34¢ supports instruction and research in all academic areas
- 24¢ helps students learn through providing academic and instructional support such as tutoring services, library resources, the Center for Student Academic Success (SASS), service learning opportunities, information technology, and administration
- 19¢ are invested directly in students through scholarships
- 9¢ helps offset the cost of Student Services such as campus ministries and residential life
- 14¢ goes to maintaining campus facilities and other costs

For Alumni
Year-End Giving
La Sierra University is incredibly blessed each year by the support of alumni and friends wishing to give calendar year-end gifts.
For donations to be counted each year for tax purposes, online gifts must be made by 11:59 pm December 31st, checks that are mailed to our office must be postmarked by December 31st, and donations over the phone must be made before the office closes for the holidays.
In-person donations can be dropped off at our campus during the holiday week of December at the kiosk office when you enter campus from the Riverwalk Parkway main entrance.
If you would like to donate during this end-of-year time, you have several options:
- Visit lasierra.edu/donate to make a gift online.
- Mail a check (made out to La Sierra University) to La Sierra Philanthropy Office, 4500 Riverwalk Parkway, Riverside, CA 92505. Please indicate your desired designation of this gift in the memo line on your check.
- Call our office at (951) 785-2500 to donate over the phone before noon on Friday, December 19, 2025.
