Advanced Placement (AP)

La Sierra University grants transfer credit with a grade of “S” (Satisfactory) for Advanced Placement (AP) exams taken through the College Board, provided the student earns a score of 3, 4, or 5.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

*Only Evening Adult Degree Program (EADP) students are allowed to take the "College Composition Modular" exam.

**The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) allows students to earn college credit for knowledge acquired outside the classroom. Currently enrolled La Sierra University students may receive up to 32 credit hours toward their degree by achieving satisfactory scores on CLEP exams.

*La Sierra University awards credit for International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level (HL) exams with a score of 4 or higher. Credit is not awarded for Standard Level (SL) exams, regardless of the score.
