Our Ministry

Our mission is to "do the things that Jesus taught." Following his teachings is what we hope to build our house on (Matthew 7). We aim to accomplish our mission through meaningful connection with our community. That connection includes presence on campus, outreach in our community, discipleship to our students, faculty, and staff, and providing space for worship.

For students: Connect with us and find out information regarding our events at our Spiritual Life page on Eagle Connect.

For alumni, community members, or curious individuals that would like to know more about who we are and what we do, don't hesistate to contact us!

Outreach: Local & International

La Sierra University is uniquely a local-oriented school. 60% of our student body are commuters. And as a school with a high diversity of cultures and a large population of locally attended students, our outreach is to the local community first and equally second is our domestic and international support.

Want to learn about God?

The Bible isn't just your average novel. It's a love letter, storybook, history lesson, self-help guide and collection of inspirational quotes all rolled into one. We read the Bible to get to know the God who loves us; to learn from the stories and experiences of others; to discover the history of our origins; to be amazed by prophecy; to gain insight on how to live our lives; and to read God's many promises that give us hope, peace and confidence. We study the bible because they are in love with the Word, "and the Word was God" (John 1:1).

Commiting your life to God

Baptism is an important step in your journey as a follower of Christ and an outward symbol of the work He has already done in your life. The Bible paints a beautiful picture of baptism as our identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. When you make the decision to accept Christ as your Savior, the Bible says that your old way of life is dead, and you are beginning a new life with Christ.

If you have any interest in Baptism, email our office at spirituallife@lasierra.edu.
