Taking your math placement through ALEKS
The ALEKS placement exam (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces) is used to place students into math classes ranging from Introductory Algebra and Intermediate Algebra up to various levels of college level math such as College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Students will start by taking their first ALEKS exam (can be done from home) after your exam you will be given your results and if you are happy with your placement you can use this first test for your class placement. If you want to improve your placement ALEKS will then provide you with personalized prep and learning modules that guide you through concepts to help your improve your performance on your next test. Students have a total of 3 opportunities to take their placement test. The first two can be completed from home however the 3rd test must be completed in person.
