Marco Allard

Education:

  • Ph.D., Physical/Inorganic Chemistry, Wayne State University, 2010
  • B.Sc., Chemistry, Andrews University, 2003

Principal Research Interests

My research in the Allard laboratory is related to two main topics:

  • The Synthesis and characterization of Near-Infra-Red dyes based on the Anthraquinone moiety, so be used on deep tissue Biological imaging.
  • Design, development and fabrication of chemical flow-reactors using a 3D printer.

Chemistry Research Area:

  • Photoluminescence and electronic structure calculations study of charge transfer states.
  • Electronic structure studies of redox active molecules: bonding, electronic absorption modeling.
  • Near-IR spectroscopy.
