La Sierra University celebrates the Christmas season
The festivities begin each year around the end of November and officially commence with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event for campus and community members. This is closely followed by the cherished Candlelight Concert, which this year offered its 76th annual performances. Below are photos from the concert as well as a link here to watch a recording of the livestreamed event featuring alumni, faculty and guest artists.

Campus clubs and departments participated in a gingerbread house decorating contest for the Christmas Tree Lighting event.
Tree lighthing event attendees had the opportunity to take horse-drawn carriage rides around campus.
A staff appreciation event on Dec. 7 hosted by the Human Resources Office offered fun ornament decorating, cider, hot chocolate and Christmas cookies made by Dining Services Director Brian Kesteleyn.
The Department of History, Politics & Sociology held a Christmas party this month for faculty, staff and students. Calkins Hall held a dead week event called “Sip & Study” on December 6th featuring mouth-watering concoctions for students as they crammed for finals, and also offered a Christmas tree decorating event called “Deck the Halls” on November 29.
