La Sierra University symphony to perform masters' works

The La Sierra Symphony Orchestra will perform the works of renowned composers Ernest Bloch and Franz Schubert on Sunday. The concert will feature cellist Selena Xu.

The Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Daniel Cummings, will play compositions by Ernest Bloch and Franz Schubert, Sunday, June 6, at 7 p.m. Cellist Selena Xu will solo in Bloch's "Schelomo, Hebraic Rhapsody for Cello and Orchestra." The orchestra will also perform Schubert's "Symphony No. 5 in B-flat Major, D. 485." The concert will take place in Hole Memorial Auditorium. Admission is FREE.
