Musicians to showcase talents in three-instrument performance
Three of La Sierra University's music professors will bring their talents into the spotlight this weekend with a vocal, piano and flute recital that samples a variety of composers' great works.
Soprano Raejin Lee, director of vocal studies, Elvin Rodriguez, pianist and director of keyboard studies and music technology, and Martin Glicklich, adjunct flute professor will perform works by nine composers this Sunday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.
The concert will take place in La Sierra's Hole Memorial Auditorium. Ticket prices are $10 general admission; $5 seniors, faculty, staff and students; $20 family admission. Children age 12 and under are free. A campus map is at https://lasierra.edu/resources/campusmap/.
The musicians' program includes “The Blessed Virgin's Expostulation, Z196,” by Henry Purcell, “Myrthen, Op. 25” by Robert Schumann and “Ah! Vous dirae-je, maman” by Adolphe Adam. The lineup also includes pieces by Stefano Donaudy, Giacchino Rossini, Luigi Arditi, Edvard Grieg, Antonín Dvořák and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
