NEWS ALERT: Update to campus situation

 

Below are updates to a law enforcement situation that occured on campus on Nov. 29:

November 30, 2021

La Sierra University has been informed today by law enforcement that the deceased individual whose death was investigated yesterday on campus property has been identified. The individual is not connected with the university. Law enforcement determined yesterday that no foul play is suspected at this time. A Riverside County coroner's investigation continues to determine a cause of death. 

November 29, 2021

La Sierra University on the morning of Nov. 29 informed our campus community of an urgent situation involving first responders on campus property.

Law enforcement conducted a death investigation of an individual along campus property, outside of the campus perimeter fence and fronting a public street and determined at this time that no foul play is suspected. A Riverside County coroner's investigation is determining identity and cause of death. The campus currently has no reports of missing students or campus members and there are no current threats or safety concerns on campus.
