Physics Adjunct Faculty

Job Description

The physics department seeks adjunct faculty members to teach the following courses:

 
  • PHYS 117: Introduction to Physics
  • PHYS 231A/B, 232A/B, 233A/B: General Physics sequence (Trig-based/Calculus-based) 
  • PHYS 307: Astronomy
 

Review of applications will begin immediately for winter and spring 2018 positions. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

 
  • Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related field (PhD preferred). In progress applicants with at least 18 units of physics graduate courses will also be considered.
  • A strong desire to facilitate student learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and motivate students with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
