Thank you for your interest in bringing your students to visit La Sierra University. We are excited to introduce your students to what daily life looks like as a Golden Eagle.

We are honored to partner with counselors and educators as they guide students through the college exploration process.

Group visits are specifically designed for middle schools, high schools, college access programs, and church youth groups. We are unable to accommodate elementary schools at this time. Before requesting your visit, please review the information below:

Advance registration is required for all group visits.

To request a group visit, please complete our Group Tour Request Form. Requests are processed within 2 business days and approved based on staffing availability and campus event schedules.

We recommend submitting your request at least 4-6 weeks in advance to allow adequate time for planning.

To ensure a personalized and safe experience:

  • Standard group visits are typically limited to 45 total guests, including students, counselors, teachers, coaches, parents, and chaperones.
  • Larger groups may be accommodated by extending the tour duration, depending on availability. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 90.
  • All visitors must be at least 10 years old.
  • Adult supervision is required throughout the entire visit.
  • 1 chaperone is required for every 12 students

Chaperones are expected to:

  • Remain with their students at all times.
  • Assist with student conduct and behavior.
  • Help ensure the group follows university policies and directions provided by staff.

A standard group visit lasts 2 hours. If your group is larger than 45, your visit may need to be extended. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 90. The exact timeline of your visit may be customized depending on your group's needs.

The Tour

  • Upon arrival, our team will greet you at the Alumni Pavilion parking lot to escort you to the Welcome Center.
  • After checking in at the Welcome Center reception desk, your group visit will begin at the Welcome Center Presentation Room with a 30-minute information session led by one of our enrollment counselors and student ambassadors.
  • Your group will then be guided on a 60-minute walking tour by our student ambassadors, where you will get to see the sights and hear directly from our students what it's like to be a Golden Eagle.
  • At the end of your tour, you will be brought back to the Welcome Center for a brief farewell, then escorted back to your vehicles.

Dining

A meal at our all-vegetarian cafeteria, the Dining Commons, may be arranged if the end of your tour aligns with our mealtimes. Please budget an additional 45 minutes-1 hour if you select this option.

Price: $19.50 per meal.

Dining arrangements must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.

Add-on Experiences

We have incredible museums on our campus! Please communicate with the Manager of Recruitment Events & Campus Experience should you wish to have time for your group to visit the Center for Near Eastern Archaeology and/or the World Museum of Natural History.

Upon arrival, all groups must first stop at the front gate security kiosk to be permitted entry to campus. Once your group enters campus, a member of our staff will greet your group at the Alumni Pavilion parking lot and escort you to the Welcome Center for event check-in.

Check-In Location

Welcome Center
La Sierra University
4500 Riverwalk Parkway
Riverside, CA 92505

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled start time.

If your group is delayed, please notify our office as soon as possible.

Buses should proceed directly to the Alumni Pavilion parking lot upon arrival.

The Alumni Pavilion provides convenient access for:

  • Bus unloading and loading
  • Passenger pick-up and drop-off
  • Group staging prior to check-in

Buses may not unload passengers in unauthorized locations. Your buses may remain parked at the Alumni Pavilion lot for the duration of your tour.

Our campus is located at the base of our landmark mountain, Mount Two Bit, and is therefore built on a slope. As a result, our group tours typically include climbing stairs. We take the tour slowly, and the pace is enjoyable and not strenuous for most guests. We will happily alter the tour to follow our campus ramps if anyone in your group is unable to climb the stairs.

Please notify us if any visitor requires:

  • Mobility accommodations
  • Accessibility assistance
  • Other special accommodations

Please notify Campus Visits of needed accommodations at least three weeks prior to your visit so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Campus tours take place rain or shine.

Please encourage students to:

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Bring water.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather.

In cases of severe weather or unforeseen campus circumstances, Campus Visits reserves the right to modify or cancel visit activities.

If your plans change, please notify us as soon as possible.

We appreciate at least 72 hours' notice for cancellations or changes in attendance. Late cancellations may impact future visit requests.

Providing accurate attendance numbers helps us prepare staffing, materials, and campus resources for your visit.
