Benefit Choices For 2020 From The Hartford

As full-time or part-time active employees, you have the opportunity to elect Critical Illness (CI), Hospital Indemnity (HI), and Accident insurance. If you are a full-time hourly employee, you will also have the opportunity to elect Short-term Disability (STD).

  • CI insurance can provide a benefit to help cover the expenses related to the treatment and recovery from a major illness (such as cancer, heart attack, or stroke) that traditional health insurance may not.
  • HI insurance provides a cash benefit in the event of an unexpected hospital stay for a covered injury and/or illness.
  • Accident insurance provides you with a payment associated with a covered injury and related services.
  • STD insurance: If you can’t work due to illness, injury or pregnancy, Short-term Disability insurance can help replace a portion of your income.

  • STD insurance: Enroll in coverage that replaces 60% of your salary, not to exceed $1,200 of your weekly earnings
  • CI insurance: Enroll in either $10,000 or $20,000 of coverage
  • HI and Accident: Enroll in these coverages for you, your spouse and your child(ren)
