2019 Art+Design Student Show

This exhibition features work created by students who were enrolled in at least one Art + Design course during the past year at La Sierra University. Work ranges from developmental work to advanced work, from light hearted and fun to pieces that address identity and personal issues. Within each class assignment there is often room for personal interpretation, allowing students to find a solution that reflects their own views and provide an opportunity to research a topic that interests them. The collection of work in this exhibition is representative of where the students are right now, both in terms of creative development and personal head-space.

Each student submitted up to six pieces for this exhibition. The work accepted into the show was juried by the full time faculty from the Art + Design Department—Terrill Thomas and Tim Musso. Each year exemplary work receives awards based on selections made by a panel of two external judges. This yea Elisa Romano & Elizabeth Younce are the two judge. Funding for these awards was made possible through a special gift from the Brandstater Endowment.
