Chasity M. Richardson
Chasity serves as the Director of Online Learning and Flexible Course Delivery at La Sierra University, where she provides leadership for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of online and flexible academic programs. In this role, she supports institutional alignment of online education initiatives with academic quality standards, regulatory requirements, and student success priorities.
She brings over a decade of experience from both public and private higher education institutions, complemented by over 20 years of leadership in corporate environments across technology, telecommunications and sales. She began her career in corporate operations, where she led teams, managed operations, and drove performance outcomes in high-volume settings. These experiences established a strong foundation in operational leadership, staff development and results-driven management.
In higher education, Chasity has contributed to the development and launch of multiple academic programs and supported sustained year-over-year enrollment growth in graduate education. Her work includes strengthening operational processes and advancing coordinated efforts that support retention and student progression. She has also supported accreditation-related processes, including policy development, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration that contributed to a successful 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation.
Chasity’s expertise includes online program administration, HyFlex and hybrid learning models, and the integration of data-informed practices to support continuous improvement outcomes. She works collaboratively with academic administrative partners to ensure effective implementation of online strategies and consistent support for faculty and students.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Human Resources from The University of Alabama in Huntsville and an MBA in Leadership from Walden University, reflecting a strong foundation in understanding organizational systems and human behavior, complemented by advanced training in leadership and strategic executions. She also holds multiple professional certifications, among them include Project Management and Operations Management certifications from Cornell University. Rayan Fargo
Rayan has had a lifelong passion for technology. For the last 15 years, his focus has been on educational and eLearning technologies. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and a Master in Business Administration. He also holds professional certificates from Microsoft and Cisco, as well as online teaching and online learning leadership certificates from OLC. Through his work in the Online Learning department, Rayan helps La Sierra University develop an online learning technology plan and the implementation of innovative learning technologies both for the classroom and the online learning environment, providing administration and support for the learning management system, lecture capture system, virtual and hybrid classrooms, telepresence robots, educational simulations, and a fully dedicated online learning help desk. In addition, he provides a customer-oriented service for students, faculty, and staff through orientations, workshops, one-to-one training sessions, and technical support.
Chris Drake
Chris Drake has worked in Blackboard Help and Instruction at La Sierra for the past eleven years, helping to set up courses and answering questions from faculty and students during the school year and beyond. Within the past three years, Chris has joined forces with the Department of Online Learning team to provide continued help and support to the La Sierra community with our learning management system, Blackboard Learn. Chris likes working with the team, faculty, and students very much.
