Mandated Reporter Policy

La Sierra University faculty and staff members are committed to supporting students and upholding the University’s non-discrimination policy. Under Title IX, discrimination based upon sex and gender is prohibited. This includes any act of sexual misconduct or sexual assault.

If you experience an incident of sex- or gender-based discrimination, sexual assault or sexual misconduct, we encourage you to report it.

While you may talk to a faculty or staff member, please understand that as a "Mandated Reporter" of the University, the faculty or staff member MUST report to the University’s Title IX Office what you share.

If you would like to speak with someone who may be able to afford your privacy or confidentiality, there are people who can meet with you, at our Counseling Service Office and the Chaplain’s office.
