Greetings!

My name is Brady Clark, and I am a graduate student in the School of Education. La Sierra University has been my home for the past eight years. I have experienced many "goods" and “bads" in my college career. When Covid-19 began to shut down life as we know it, I began marking this year as one of my “bad” experiences of La Sierra. I started to think of all the things I would miss out on like connecting with my fellow classmates, gaining a bond with my program professors, learning my career firsthand through my internship, and walking down the stage at graduation. This year seemed as though it was all negative and my hopes for anything positive began to dissipate.

As the quarter continued, I began to see the remarkable support that La Sierra gave out. I saw students support each other, professors go the extra mile, and leaders stepping out of their comfort-zone for the sake of others. With these countless positive examples, my idea of a bad year changed. I remembered that La Sierra was not a place, but it was a community and I once again felt proud to be a part of that La Sierra family.

From one La Sierra University family member to another, I encourage you to continue your amazing work and your positive attitude.

Blessings.
