Why Residential Conferences?

With more than 25 years of experience delivering our MBA to working professional groups, at the Zapara School of Business we are sold on the “in-person” educational experience. However, the recent pandemic changed the way we experience many things in our lives, including education. We are excited to launch the Online MBA that features the combination of online classes plus three residential conferences – one at the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end of the program – where students and faculty will gather together to hear forward-thinking topical lectures from faculty and noted guest speakers; engage with fellow students on projects or assignments; participate in short field experiences for team-building and applied learning; network and build and strengthen relationships; increase sensitivities to diversity and inclusion by discussing, sharing meals with, and otherwise engaging with others of diverse backgrounds; experience personal and professional growth thus developing their leadership capabilities; and experience the joy and deep satisfaction of connecting with others who have similar goals, forming lasting friendships with students and faculty.

Admission to the MBA

MBA applicants must have a four-year bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent, from an accredited college or university. Regular admission requires a satisfactory combination of GPA and GMAT score. The GMAT is waived for applicants with a 3.00 GPA or above. Applicants with an earned graduate degree may receive automatic admission. A TOEFL score of 550 or MTELP score at the 90th percentile, or other equivalent English language proficiency score, is required for students who are from a country where English is not an official language, or who have not studied at an institution where English is the language of instruction.

“The MBA program is teaching me long-term strategic thinking, leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills, all while allowing me to work and attend weekly night classes. Being a part of the MBA in Healthcare has been an excellent and fulfilling experience.”-Dr. Laren Tan
