LEAF is a community of 9th - 12th grade students and college mentors. Our members explore everything from game programming to fiction writing to environmental conservation in a safe and slightly nerdy space.

Are you ready to come hang out in Discord, meet people, make friends, and play some games?

We do a lot of that. But wouldn’t it be cool to start a project and learn some fun and interesting things?

• Dive into topics that interest you. To join a branch, just react to the bot in the LEAF Discord server.
• Talk to a Mod to see which branches match your hobbies.
• Don’t see something you vibe with? Suggest a new topic we should add.
• Have fun creating something new with a group or starting your own project.

We offer a bunch of activities and get-togethers designed to help you thrive in the areas that you’re passionate about. As a member, you can:

• Log on for a Discord Meet Up to hear about awesome ideas and projects.
• Join Office Hours with a Mod or Prof to get project ideas and supportive thinking for your next steps.
• Come to La Sierra University for a Labs & Jams day to meet your new friends in person, share fresh ideas, and get hands-on access to laboratory equipment, writing workshops, and more. (Registration and COVID vaccination are required.)
• Show off your work-in-progress at our LEAF Symposium. Whether you want to present a poster, give a reading, or demo your game, your participation will make a great bullet point on your resume or page in your portfolio.
• Build your web presence with tips, tricks, and guidance from your LEAF community.
• Write a scientific research article based on your project results with help from college profs and current college students.
