Biography

Cody Breyer is a guitar player whose versatility is only rivaled by his charm on the instrument. Having a robust background in music since the age of 9, he pursued the study of guitar at La Sierra University where he received his B.M. in Classical Guitar Performance. He continued his education to attain an M.M. in Studio Guitar from the University of Southern California. His skill, determination, and passion for the instrument  have blazed paths for him throughout numerous venues and festivals performing nationally and internationally as sideman for artists, gospel groups, jazz ensembles, corporate event bands, and cover bands.

His list of artist involvement includes the voices of major gospel artists such as Johnathan McReynolds, Kierra "Kiki" Sheard, Brent Jones, Le’Andra Johnson, Johnathan Nelson as well as other up-and-coming pop and hip-hop artists like Travis Garland and Seefor Yourself. Among his His notable performances include television appearances on Good Day LA and En Vivo. More recently, Cody has toured the U.S. and Canada as the guitar player for the Spencer Lee Band.

Cody is currently based in Southern California around the Inland Empire and Los Angeles balancing a rigorous teaching and gig schedule while persuing his DMA in Studio Guitar Performance at USC. Aside from his rigorous gig-life and academic endeavors, Cody can be found in recording sessions or performing jazz, rock, country, and gospel regularly around his hometown.

Today, Cody is the Adjunct Professor Professor of Guitar  at  La Sierra University and currently stands as the guitarist for Mt. Rubidoux SDA Church and Second Birth Church of Riverside.
