Academic Recovery

About us

The Academic Recovery Program is in place for students at a critical crossroads in their academic journey. The program is intentional and thoughtful in helping students get their academic career back on track. The following student populations are required by university policy to participate in the academic recovery program:

  • Students placed on Academic or Critical Academic Probation
  • Provisionally admitted students

In order to have initial holds moved, students must complete the following:

  • Probation Contract
  • Recovery Intake Form
  • Make an appointment with a recovery advisor

Students in the Divinity School and School of Education must contact the OACS Academic Recovery Office directly.

Academic Recovery Program

The Academic Recovery Program is designed to help students build their academic skills in order to achieve academic success. Students will work closely with a recovery advisor to develop an academic plan consisting of activities, lessons, and one-on-one mentoring throughout the quarter. Some common themes are:

  • Time Management
  • Priorities & Procrastination
  • Studying
  • Test Taking
  • Note-taking
  • Balance & Wellness
  • Remote Learning Strategies
